Welcome to this Chalet Style Cottage located in the heart of Balm Beach. Just 90 minutes north of Toronto and 15 minutes from the towns of Midland and Penetanguishene. Forest Road Retreat was created to bring Quilters, Crafters, Artists, Yogis and Creative Groups together for relaxation, creativity, and sharing of techniques and ideas.

The chalet has been renovated into a four-season cottage, with four bedrooms, three bathrooms and is ideal for up to 10 creative people. The main floor has an open-concept living room, dining room and kitchen where everyone can gather. The atmosphere is relaxed and the decor is unique with one of a kind items that inspire creativity. What sets this retreat apart is the separate studio space designed with high ceilings, natural bright light and plenty of LED lighting and electrical outlets. There are 5 work tables, 10 ergonomic chairs and a counter-height cutting table with a light box inside. All designed with quilters, crafters and artists in mind.

RENTING

Forest Road Retreat is a four season vacation property available for weekly family rentals just a 10 minute walk to the beach and waters of Georgian Bay at Balm Beach.

Availability & Rates

We will be running Open Retreats however we can organize your retreat for your group at an additional cost.

The retreat rates are $750 per night with a minimum 2 night stay. We offer a 30% discount for all weekly bookings (7 night stays). There is a flat $250 cleaning fee added to all bookings regardless of length of stay. Meals are not included, however we can provide full catering service at an additional charge.

Check in time is 4pm and check out is by 11am

Sometimes this can be flexible depending on when the other guests depart or are arriving. Please ask.

DEPOSIT POLICY

A $750 deposit is required to secure your booking. The balance is due 2 weeks prior to your arrival. For Forest Road Retreat Organized Retreats payment in full must be received 60 days prior to the retreat.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Cancel more than 30 days prior to the scheduled date of arrival and 100% of your deposit will be refunded.
Cancel between 15 and 30 days prior to the scheduled date of arrival and deposit is non-refundable.
Cancel between 0 and 15 days prior to the scheduled date of arrival, payment is non-refundable.
* Should there be inclement weather and you have paid in full, then contact us to postpone or rebook your retreat within that calendar year.

FAQ

Q: Can we drink the water?

A: Yes you can. The water is from a well which is tested regularly. There is a water softener connected to the water supply and some people prefer the taste of bottled water.

Q: Are linens provided?

A: Yes bath, bed & kitchen linens are provided.

Q: Are meals included?

A: No, meals are not included but we can provide a full meal plan at an additional charge. The kitchen is fully equipped with stove, 2 fridges, a dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, kettle, toaster and other small appliances. There is a full range of dishware, cutlery, glasses, cookware and serving items. There are also an assortment of pantry items including teas, regular and decaf coffee.
